Troubleshooting your I amsterdam City Card

Are you experiencing issues with activating your City Card? Here is a detailed step-by-step guide to resolving the problem.

How to resolve activation issues?

  1. Make sure you are connected to WiFi or mobile internet.
  2. Delete the City Card app.
  3. Re-install the City Card app.
  4. Click on the City Card icon in the middle of the bottom navigation bar.
  5. Tap the + button.
  6. Select “Add City Card to the app.”
  7. Enter your City Card code, which you can find in the confirmation e-mail you received.
  8. Try activating your card again after adding it to the app.
  9. If activation still does not work: you can also try clearing your phone’s app cache before re-installing. (If you’re not sure how to do this, you can skip this step.)
  10. If activating the card still does not work, please contact citycard@iamsterdam.com by e-mail or visit the I amsterdam Store at Central Station.
