JazzFest puts the Indische Buurt in the spotlight
This festival, hailed for 15 years as "undoubtedly the best jazz festival in Amsterdam" (het Parool), once again presents a unique mix of emerging talent and established names from all corners of jazz and improvised music. From intimate concerts to exuberant jam sessions, from surprising collaborations to boundless experiments: Jazzfest Amsterdam surprises every year with a program that celebrates the richness and diversity of the scene.

During Jazzfest Amsterdam 2026, you can enjoy unique performances in unexpected locations in the Indische Buurt neighborhood. The festival is known for its striking combinations of musicians from different generations and backgrounds, who together create new music and unforgettable moments.
The Young Maker
Jazzfest wouldn't be complete without the Jonge Maker (Young Maker). In 2025, that was Swedish double bassist Anja Gottberg. She succeeds River Adomeit, who, together with Beatrice Sberna, created a special project within the Jazzfest Nieuwe Makers program in 2024. Who will take over from Jonge Maker in 2026 is not yet known.
JazzFest Amsterdam will definitely celebrate its 15th edition in 2026 with a packed program at more locations than ever before in the Indische Buurt.
